SilverRushRareFinds began with a simple passion: a fascination with antique silver and the stories carried within each piece.
What started as a personal interest gradually became a journey of collecting, researching, identifying and preserving silverware from Britain, the United States, Canada and Europe. Over time, we came to appreciate that antique silver is much more than a beautiful object. Every hallmark, maker's mark, engraved inscription and decorative detail can reveal something about the silversmith who created it, the period in which it was made, and the people who once owned and used it.
This appreciation became the foundation of SilverRushRareFinds – Fine Antique Silver Sales & Rental.
More Than a Silver Shop
Our collection focuses primarily on antique and vintage sterling silver, alongside carefully selected silverplate pieces of exceptional design, craftsmanship or historical interest.
We have a particular appreciation for British sterling silver and the centuries-old hallmarking tradition that allows a piece to tell its own history through its marks. We also collect distinctive works by American, Canadian and European silversmiths and manufacturers.
Rather than simply acquiring large quantities of silverware, we prefer to select pieces individually. Maker, age, craftsmanship, condition, rarity, design and historical character all play a role in what we choose.
Some pieces may come from celebrated silversmiths. Others may attract us because of an unusual form, a beautiful engraving, an uncommon technique or simply a story waiting to be rediscovered.
Every Piece Has a Story
One of the greatest pleasures of antique silver is research.
A small hallmark can lead to the identity of a silversmith who worked two centuries ago. An inscription may reveal an anniversary, a presentation or a family history. A pattern or manufacturing technique may connect an object to a particular city, workshop or period.
Whenever possible, we research these details and share what we discover with our customers.
We believe knowing the history behind an object makes owning it more meaningful.
