1919 Gorham Sterling Silver Pierced Nut Dishes: Birmingham Assay, Original Case No.SS088

Co. in 1919, a rare example of American-made silver specifically exported to the UK market. They bear full Birmingham Assay Office hallmarks, including the Lion Passant for sterling silver, the Anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter "u" for 1919.

The combination of USA manufacture and UK assay is uncommon for Gorham silver, reflecting the high-end transatlantic trade and bespoke commissions of the period.
